Bacon Butties in Kew

Last weekend saw the public consultation/barbeque for Piercy Conner's 'Tree House' in Kew, London. We invited local residents to come down to the site and talk through our proposals over a bacon buttie. The structure and skin of the new house are weathering steel, chosen to harmonise with the weathered brick wall that the building sits within. The steel will be punctured with an abstracted tree canopy pattern and local reponse to the 2 metre sample panel (below) was very good.
